Frank Gore Sr.

Frank Gore Sr. is a former professional American football running back widely respected for his durability, consistency, and longevity in the NFL. Born on May 14, 1983, in Miami, Florida, he played college football at the University of Miami before being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2005. Gore spent the majority of his career with the 49ers, becoming the franchise’s all-time leading rusher, and later played for several other teams including the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and New York Jets. Over his career, he earned five Pro Bowl selections (2006, 2009, 2011–2013) and was named Second-team All-Pro in 2006. He finished his career as one of the top rushers in NFL history, ranking third all-time in rushing yards at the time of his retirement. Known for his toughness and ability to perform at a high level well into his late 30s, Gore is widely considered one of the most durable running backs ever. After stepping away from football, he has remained involved in the sport and his community, including mentoring younger players and supporting his son, Frank Gore Jr., who has followed in his footsteps as a football player.
