Cookie Dough Bites were first introduced in 1997 by Taste of Nature, Inc., a confectionery company founded by Scott Samet and Douglas Chu. The product was created to give consumers the nostalgic taste of raw cookie dough in a safe, shelf-stable candy form. The original flavor was Chocolate Chip, and due to its success, the line expanded to include other varieties like Fudge Brownie, Cookies ’N Cream, Birthday Cake, and more. Initially sold in movie theaters, Cookie Dough Bites gained popularity as a fun, bite-sized snack that fit perfectly with popcorn and soda. Over time, they expanded into retail stores across the U.S. and internationally, becoming a recognizable candy brand known for its playful, indulgent twist on a familiar treat.
