Edward Gorey, was a renowned writer and illustrator who created a body of work that has been praised for its unsettling humor, stylish inventiveness, and sublime qualities. Over his 50-year career, he gained international recognition and influenced various forms of popular culture, including film, fiction, and fashion. Today, his stories, poems, drawings, and distinctive style continue to be celebrated through books, articles, and museum exhibitions.

In his will, Mr. Gorey established the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust to manage his intellectual property and support animal welfare charities. Since his passing in 2000, the Trust has been dedicated to preserving and expanding his extraordinary legacy as one of the most intriguing icons of the 20th century.
