

Melvin Ingram III is an American football outside linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football at South Carolina, and earned All-American honors. He was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 1st Round with the 18th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft. Melvin Ingram spent the first 9 seasons of his career with the team, even following them to Los Angeles. He was selected to 3 Pro Bowls during his tenure with the Chargers, as one of the most productive defensive players in the NFL he was consistently selected to the NFL Top 100 list. He has also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Miami Dolphins. During this past season with the Dolphins he played 45% of the team’s defensive snaps in 17 games last year, recording 22 tackles, six sacks and one forced fumble. He got off to a hot start with his new team and was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September. Melvin’s Mission Possible Foundation’s purpose is to provide resources to financially disadvantaged children from single-parent families to help them reach their full potential and beat the odds. His other off the field endeavors include his own streetwear clothing line and having put out multiple hip hop albums under the stage name King Mel.
