Sidney Rice

Sidney Rice is a retired wide receiver who played seven seasons in the NFL. Born on September 1, 1986, in Gaffney, South Carolina, Rice played college football at the University of South Carolina. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, 44th overall. During his time with the Vikings, Rice emerged as a key playmaker. In the 2009 season, he earned Pro Bowl honors after recording 83 receptions, 1,312 receiving yards, and 8 touchdowns. His performance that year played a significant role in helping the Vikings reach the NFC Championship Game.
