Craig Robertson, a former Saints team captain and important locker room influence was an undrafted free agent in 2011 out of North Texas got to where he is today through hard work, determination, and perseverance. After going undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft, Craig found a home with the Cleveland Browns where he became their starting Inside Linebacker for three seasons (2013-2015). After Craig’s time with the Browns, Craig signed with the New Orleans Saints. After leading the Saints in tackles in 2016, Craig became a team captain, a responsibility that he held up until he retired on March 11, 2022. Saints head coach, Dennis Allen had this to say about Craig’s influence on the team, saying that he “was really a part of the foundation of building the culture in the way that we wanted to operate defensively … He lived and breathed Saints football.” The now self proclaimed ‘family man’ went out on his own terms but his contributions to the organization is worth celebrating.
