

Andrew Chafin - nicknamed "Big Country" and/or “The Sheriff” Chafin, is a pitcher for the Washington Nationals. He has previously played for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and Milwaukee Brewers. This his the second stint in Detroit after 64 appearances for the 2022 Tigers, posting 3 saves and a 2.83 ERA, with 67 strikeouts in 57+1⁄3 innings. Andrew was drafted in the 2011 MLB draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He led the major leagues in appearances with the Arizona Diamondbacks and was traded to the Chicago Cubs for the 2020 postseason. He was a key pick-up for the Oakland A’s pitching staff during the 2021 season before being traded to Detroit where he made an immediate impact in 2022. Now joining Washington as baseball's most underrated ‘Iron Man’, Andrew has been a key addition to the Nationals bullpen.
