

If you want Southern Hospitality mixed with a blue-collar work ethic, look no further than Duke Riley: A man who has gone from living in poverty in an unincorporated community in Southern Louisiana to the bright lights of the NFL. Born August 9, 1994, Duke an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. Riley attended John Curtis Christian High School in River Ridge, Louisiana. He committed to LSU to play college football. Riley played at LSU from 2013 to 2016. After spending his first three seasons as a backup, he became a starter for the first time his senior year in 2016. That season, he had 93 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and one interception and was named the team's MVP. Shortly after, Riley had accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl. The Atlanta Falcons selected Riley in the third round (75th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was reunited with former LSU teammate Deion Jones who Riley looked at as a role model as an elite linebacker at LSU. Riley also wore number 0 at the Senior Bowl to hopefully begin a tradition that began with Jones when he was the first player to wear the number 0 in a Senior Bowl. In the 2018 season, He started alongside De’Vondre Campbell and middle linebacker Deion Jones. Riley signed with the Miami Dolphins in March 2021. He’s played in 33 games with five starts since then, totaling 62 tackles (36 solo), one sack and two passes defensed, along with nine special teams stops, for Miami. In March 2023, Riley signed a two-year contract extension with Dolphins proving his worth to the Dolphins both on and off the field. Though he is best known for his work in the NFL, Duke Riley also has dreams of making it as a recording artist. His track "Smooth Like Hitch" has been popping due in part to Keke Palmer's support of the single, though Riley currently has plans to release a slew of new tunes for his fans. The linebacker also serves as the co-owner of Rich Mind Studios, where artists can record, mix, and master their vocals in New Orleans.
