A touted lefthanded prospect for the Athletics, Harris was a third round choice in 2018 and was a Top 20 prospect. He finished the 2019 season with 13 scoreless innings in his last 3 games as a starter, a strong finish for the 2018 draft pick out of Louisiana- Lafayette. His performance earned him a spot on the Oakland Athletics 2020 Top prospect list as one of the strongest performers in the system. Harris recorded 117 strikeouts with the A’s from 2023-2024. Harris can claim something very unique, as he was the starter of the A’s during their “reverse boycott” in 2023. The crowd was so raucous that he was having trouble hearing his pitch-com. In 2025, Harris has continued to be a valuable arm in the A’s bullpen, with a 3.42 ERA and 28 strikeouts through his first 20 appearances.
