The History

• Hydrox® is the original crème-filled sandwich cookie, pre-dating
Oreo® by four years.
• Created by Sunshine® Biscuit in 1908.
• Keebler® acquired Sunshine® Biscuit in 1996.
• In 1999, Keebler, in an effort to make the cookie more kid friendly,
changed the cookie design and flavor formulation making it sweeter.
In addition the Hydrox® name was changed to Droxies®.
• Kellogg's® acquired Keebler® in 2001, and discontinued the
Droxies® brand in 2003.

• Leaf Brands acquired the Hydrox® brand in 2014.
• Original formula was updated, rolling back the recipe to it’s original
formula for the reintroduction in 2015.

There are currently 16 flavors available including Pina Colada, Sour Watermelon, Sour Grape, Cherry and Blue Raspberry. Reputed to be a chewier and better tasting version of Wonka’s Nerds® candies, Farts Candy® are small irregularly-shaped bumpy and chewy, candy pieces. Astro Pops were first made in 1963 after two rocket scientists working on the space program in El Segundo, California decided to quit their jobs and create the Astro Pop, modeling the pop after a three-stage rocket. They hand-built equipment, including machines to speed up the production of the cone wrappers. Astro Pops are unusual because the cone wrapper becomes the mould for the candy.

• Astro Pops® Created in 1963 by two Rocket Scientists working at Rocketdyne on the US Space program.

After six long years of waiting, Wacky Wafers® are back in its original packaging, flavors and size! Yep, those years of begging, pleading and bribes have finally paid off. As with all Leaf’s products, we wanted to make sure Wacky Wafers® were just like you remembered them; the big silver-dollar sized wafers, that invigorating smell of watermelon, orange, green apple, strawberry and banana, and that perfect “crack” sound as you break them in your mouth!
